1. Installing a Framebuffer Device Driver

1.1 Hardware - Specific Drivers

If the vesafb driver is loaded, you need to disable it at boot to check for other drivers. Here are the steps:

2. When the boot prompt appears, type novesa and press ENTER.
3. If the framebuffer UI launches, the system found an appropriate driver. Exit the UI and run the command dmesg | grep fb .
