Interesting jobs or better money, what would you prefer? Surely it is perfect if you have the best of both worlds, do the job that you love while making an exceptional amount of money. But for most of us, a choice must be made between the two.
If you choose interest over money, you rather do something you have passion for and be happy with it. You believe there are always chances for money later in life and it is most important to enjoy the career, because it is what will probably be with you for the next half of your life. Of course, the job you choose must be able to provide for the necessities of life.
As this world is materialistic, to be more realistic, you would pick one that pays better money. You have to support the home and you cannot go around and eat instant noodles a whole year. If you have a job that pays well, at least many of your financial problems would be solved. Moreover, everyone will respect you especially when you have money besides power.
If you are a newbie, it is probably better to go for the job you think you will enjoy more first while you are young, unless money is an issue and you need it right away, since once you get stuck into something, you may feel it is too late to change. If you can get more experience in the field first (assuming that you really enjoy it) the money will come later on.
It is always easy to say choosing your interest over money if you do not have to worry about not having enough money to support yourself and always at risk of everyone else leaving you stranded high and dry. However, better money may be too demanding and stressful. Will you wake up everyday excited about going to work or get a fat paycheck but dread your job every morning?
There is an old saying "if you find something you enjoy doing, you will never have to work a day in your life". Always go for job satisfactions, life is too short to spend more than half of your day at a job that causes you misery.
