BitDefender announced B-HAVE (Behavioral Heuristic Analyzer in Virtual Environments), its next generation of heuristic detection technology, will be included in all future BitDefender products. BitDefender’s unique heuristics technology has helped establish BitDefender as a leader in protecting users against the most damaging Internet security malware and trends, including all six variants of the Zotob virus.

BitDefender’s new B-HAVE technology creates a virtual “computer-inside-a-computer” where pieces of software are run in order to check potential malware behavior on any computer. The most advanced heuristics detection technology in the antivirus community, B-HAVE has been developed using BitDefender’s unique virtual and multiplatform detection methods.

BitDefender is the only security software vendor to offer this type of heuristics antivirus engine at the desktop and the server level for Windows, Linux and FreeBSD platforms, giving users quick antivirus detection.
