GUIText/GUITextures are a step backwards. UnityGUI can do everythign that GUITextures/GUITexts can do, and then some, and it handles a lot of complicated positioning and spacing for you. GUIText/GUITextures might have come first, but UnityGUI
is newer, and much more robust. I'd like an answer that pertains to UnityGUI, not GUIText/GUITexture
