Mr. James Gosling

He created the original design of Java and implemented the language's original compiler and virtual machine in 1994 at Sun Microsystems.

He is also referred to as "The father of Java".

2. Martin Ordersky, author of current java compiler. Creator of the scala language.

4. Doug Lea, added efficient concurrent collections to java.util. Best selling author on java concurrency practices.
