Siebel Automated Quote Approval Email Configuration

Create Mail Profile:

- Login as SADMIN.

- Go to Administration - Communications -> Communications Drivers and Profiles and enter the necessary e-mail setup data.

- Go to All Templates 3rd level navigation link.

- Query Quote 'Approval Email' - which is for Quote.

- Click Advanced view tab, set 'Delivery Profile' field to the 'Approval Profile'

 

Signal to be updated:

- Go to Administration - Order Management -> Signals.

- Query 'ApproveItem' and lock it.

- Drill down on Workspace. In Actions tab, select 'ISS Approval (Quote)'.

- In Parameters applet, change value of  'sendEmail' from FALSE to TRUE.

- Go back to Signal and Release New Version.

- Logout application.

 

User configuration:

- Go to Administration->Users.

- Query for SADMIN or other user who will do the approval.

- Change the email id as defined in Outlook

- From the File menu Click on Send Email and check if mail has been sent to the address specified

Under Administration Application> Approval Admin > Select 'Quote Approval'

and add EMPLOYEE with SADMIN or the necessary Approver(s).

 

Verification:

1.Goto Quotes >Create a Quote > Associate a Price List

2.Add products to Line Items applet and ensure the price lists are displayed and

reflected in the Total.

3.Goto Menu> click on Generate Approval

4.Goto Approval Applet and observe that SADMIN (or Approver) name is included

5.Goto Mail Box and observe if the mail is triggerred
