Admittedly, one of the most challenge problems in modern society is to have the most up-to-date skills for workplace. A good example is that some traditional works some as tourist guides in some place have already been replaced by robotic ones. How can people save their high paid job in such a world where almost all parts of the society developing at an extremely fast rate? To solve this, government offer all adults over the age of 25 a training course to learn new skills. However, I still hold the opposite opinion that money spend on this kind of thing is useless.

 

First and foremost, about the age. Everyone needs to learn new skill. Why not offer course only to the person who are already 25 years old? Other age groups, for instance, students aged 15 to 19, these teenagers are more crave for knowledge and at the same time, they are the people who can learn things faster than other groups. So, had classes of up-to-date knowledge been offered to younger generation, then problems would be solved more quickly.

 

What's more, about hardness of class to offer. People at 25 years old already have their own job or part-time jobs. Some of these are just enjoying what they are doing now and don't have the need to learn the latest knowledge. So, if the classes are two hard, then these people may find the knowledge are just too abstract and far more than they could understand. While others, who already learned these knowledges by themselves may think the classes are just too simple to study. So, both kinds of people may just think it is useless. As a result, the absent rate maybe pretty higher.

 

Finally, the government should invest on the ways that people can learn by themselves. First, for the people who already more than 25 years old, these people are just graduate from college, have an ability to learn by themselves and know which kinds of knowledge they need. So, what they will do to improve themselves is just to find the specific ways to learn and the right materials. Similarly, the government may just need to offer some lectures on a broader kind of things, such as how to learn new things fast and how to distinguish good books from bad ones. At the same time, the workers just can learn more efficient.

 

In conclusion, from what has been discussed above, we can safely draw a conclusion that the government invest on offering classes to all people who are already 25 years old is not a wise idea.
