Summary

Passed AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam on 1st Feb.2017, registered AWS web service account one year ago, purchased the Udemy course by SGD 15, went through the course, practice with the free tier usage, the actual study time was less than three months on and off, passed the exam finally.

Preparation

A lot of free resource can be used when prepare the exam, free tier account usage, AWS web service official website, FAQ, white paper etc., a cloud guru website, cloud academy free trial etc., certain practice and study prepared me for the exam.

Exam

I took the exam in the Lifelong Learning Institute 7th floor, 80 minutes time was just a blink of eye, during the exam, I had a feeling I can pass, but should not have a high score, as I was not certain with some of questions.

The exam result is as:

1.0 Designing highly available, cost efficient, fault tolerant, scalable systems : 69%
2.0 Implementation/Deployment: 66%
3.0 Security: 81%
4.0 Troubleshooting: 80%
