Dubai business trip from 19th Jan. to 22nd Jan.2020

Before Chinese New Year, I had business trip to Dubai from 19th Jan. to 22nd Jan. 2020, the air flight was Emirates EK433 arriving Dubai at 13.05, and EK432 arriving Singapore at 08.25 in the morning on 23rd, I stayed at ‘DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Residences Dubai – Al Barsha’, near the Mall of the Emirates, the same location was also a metro station, it was a big shopping mall, there was a food court there where I had dinner for the few days…

Try not exchange local currency at airport, the exchange rate was not good. I took the metro from airport to hotel, as I don’t have much luggage and one direct metro line can reach the metro station Mall of the Emirates.

Went to Burj Khalifa at the first day afternoon, it is the tallest man made building and the landmark of Dubai. I bought ticket online in advance and went to the level 124, 125 and 148, there was observation deck at both floors, took the elevator to the 148 floors was an unique experience as the elevator was running 10 meters per second. Personally, I do not recommend the Burj Khalifa high floor trip, it was not worth the money spent.

The Dubai Fountain is a recommended place to visit, it is at the side of Burj Khalifa, the fountain show was magnificent with great soundtrack, seems it will start from 6 PM to 12 PM everyday, once every half an hour,.and each show lasts 5 minutes. During the daytime, the show was held once at around 1PM.

I arrived home on 23rd Jan 2020 morning, one day before Chinese New Year eve, and at that time, the novel coronal virus got very serious in China, Wuhan city which got 11 million population was locked down.
