Summary

The last day of DBI (Doing Business in Israel) programme Day 9, 23nd Dec.2019 was a trip to the holy city Jerusalem , touring Jerusalem including Kotel, western wall, the holiest site in the world for Jew. Roof top view of the Dome of the Rock and EI Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in the world for Muslim. Church of the holey Sepulcher, place of the crucifixion, death and burial of Jesus according to Christian tradition. etc. The trip included a lunch. Lastly, we farewell dinner.

Jerusalem trip

The bus started from Tel Aviv hotel at 8.30AM to Jerusalem, we walked through the old city of Jerusalem, I felt everywhere was full of history, walking through the alleys of old city was a wonderful experience, like the place where Jesus had his last dinner, Western wall, Church of the holey Sepulcher etc., need to read history and bible before go to Jerusalem. There was no access to Dome of the Rock for non Muslims. At the Western wall, we need to wear a hat to enter the plaza, I wrote a prayer paper and inserted into the crack of the Western wall. At Church of the holey Sepulcher, we saw the Stone of Anointing, the Altar of the Crucifixion, the site of Jesus’ crucifixion and the Aedicule with the Coptic chapel (the tomb of Jesus Christ) etc, heard the interesting story of the ‘immovable ladder’ etc.

We had Shawarma and some other stuff which I don’t remember the name for lunch not far away from the Western Wall.

Dress code for entrance to the holy sites: covered shoulders and long pants for men and long pants or skirts for women.

I am not sure the restaurant name where we had dinner, it looks like we had dinner at the first floor of Vision Neil Folberg Gallery, it was with good wine, food and dances.
