1. 新冠病毒用novel更合适，因为novel这个词的本身意思就是之前没见过的，未知的，在Cambridge Dictionary中的释义是：New and original; not like anything seen before. 所以它比new更适合，各大权威机构也使用的是novel而不是new

2. break out也可用来描述长痘痘、出汗、出疹子
