Submission Guidelines

  • Submission:
    • Upload a PDF of your pyramid on Moodle/Turnitin.
    • Submit SQL scripts via an online form.
    • Upload a PDF map and 3D visualization on Moodle/Turnitin.

Key Requirements

• Independent work is required. Sharing or replicating other students’ work constitutes academic misconduct.
• Questions must be generic and posted on Moodle for uniform guidance.
• Files must be correctly formatted and uploaded before the deadline.

Database Design and Build (70%)

Overview

• Select a location-based asset management topic and design a hierarchical pyramid with 3 spatially nested levels.
• List 7 decisions, with at least two depending on outputs from lower-level decisions.
• Build and populate the database to demonstrate decision-making queries.

Steps

1. Topic Declaration:

   • Topics must match the final output.
   • Ensure spatial assets nest correctly (top: 3D volume, middle: 3D/2D, bottom: 2D/3D).

2. Decisions:

   • Describe 7 decisions, with context, numeric thresholds, and purpose.
   • Use views for lower-level dependencies.

3. Pyramid Design:
