Resolving the problem

Empty the install_location/javasharedresources folder:

1. In IBM Cognos Configuration, stop the Cognos Analytics service.
2. Check in your operating system for Cognos and Java processes that are still running. If there are any, stop them.

   Note: To identify these processes, you might need to see full paths of processes.

3. Delete all files in the folder.

   Important: Do not delete the folder.

4. Restart the Cognos Analytics service.
