/var/log/cups/error_log does not exist on my RHEL 8 system

CUPS on RHEL 8 has been updated to log to journald.
- You can view the CUPS journal with journalctl -u cups
To have CUPS log to /var/log/cups/error_log again, edit the file /etc/cups/cups-files.conf and find the line reading ErrorLog syslogand change it to ErrorLog /var/log/cups/error_log, then restart the CUPS service.
