生物活性：Azazerine (CI-337) 是一种 glutamine amidotransferase 的竞争性抑制剂。 Azaserine 是一种抗生素，具有抗菌活性。 Azazerine 具有抗肿瘤活性，也可作为肿瘤诱导剂。 Azazerine可用于癌症和感染的研究[1][2][3][4][5]。

体外：Azaserine (100 μg/mL; 6 h) 引起敏感生物某些特定类型的形态变化，例如白色念珠菌细胞[2]的特征性伸长。 Azaserine (0-10 μM) 抑制 E 的生长。 UTH 4、UTH 7036、UTH 7048 和 UTH 7049 的 MIC 值为 12.11、51.9、69.2 和 69.2 μg/mL 的大肠杆菌菌株[3]。

体内：Azaserine（5 mg/kg；ip 每周一次或两次，持续 6 个月）在大鼠中诱导肿瘤[1]。
