Since iReport5 does not support Oracle by default, you need to add Oracle's jdbc driver to iReport's classpath.
This can be done by several ways, easiest way is to use the GUI menu "Tools > Options > ClassPath". Then click the "Add Jar" to browse to Oracle jdbc driver file.
One thing to mention is that the "ojdbc6.jar" is not working and you'll get a "ClassNotFound" error. You should instead use driver "ojdbc14.jar".
