本文通过一张图表展示了日本、瑞典及美国从1940年至预计2040年65岁以上老年人口比例的变化情况。文章指出，尽管这些国家在初始阶段老年人口比例较低，但到了20世纪末瑞典已超过美国成为老年人口比例最高的国家。预计到2030年后日本将经历老年人口的激增，并迅速成为三者中老年人口比例最高的国家。

我写的作文是这样的：

There is a graph showing the proportion of population aged 65 and over during 1940 and expected 2040 among <country-region w:st="on">Japan</country-region>, <country-region w:st="on">Sweden</country-region> and <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">USA</place></country-region>.

From the very beginning, all of these countries had low proportion of old people. While in <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Japan</place></country-region> was in its lowest place. At the end of 20^th century, <country-region w:st="on">Sweden</country-region> had exceeded <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">USA</place></country-region> and became the highest. But as many sociologists suggested, <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Japan</place></country-region> will undergo a boom of old people after 2030, and will quickly rank the first place among these countries. From the graph, we can also see that all these countries will face a difficult and complicated old people problem, as the statistic goes up.

To conclude, the government should take measures in order to tackle with this problem.
