Programming File Directories and Their Usage

1. QuickBASIC Files

QuickBASIC comes with a set of specific files. To start QuickBASIC, when the a:\ prompt appears on the screen, the user should enter QB . The <QB> directory includes QB.EXE and BRUN40.EXE .

The Select program allows users to choose from the available QuickBASIC programs. Here are the steps to run a desired QuickBASIC program:
1. Wait for the a:\ prompt on the screen.
2. Enter QB to start QuickBASIC.
3. Type C:\Select in the command line.
4. After that, the screen will display a menu (as shown in Figure 1).
