grep "vmxnet" /kernel/drv/*

modinfo |grep vmxnet

modload vmxnet # load driver kernel.

devfsadm -i vmxnet # Createdevice mapping

ifconfig vmxnet plumb /unplumb

#if you remove the old net Adapter and install a new net Adapter,

# then do following:

#mv /etc/hostname.ipbr0 /etc/hostname.elxl0

reboot

ifconfig -a # check the new adapter status.
