Summary: EclipseME Version 0.5.0 Released

A new version of EclipseME has just been released. In addition, a first (0.1.0) release of Siemens Emulator support has been released. The Siemens EclipseME feature is only supported and executable on the Windows platform and is currently limited to running midlets.

Due to the significant reorganization in this release, please pay particular attention to the readme, installation and migration information. This new version includes the following changes:

- Massive reorganization of functionality into multiple plugins (Part of RFE 960204)
- Midlet Suite projects must be opened and potentially "cleaned" and rebuilt
- After opening and compiling, they must be committed to source control
.project file will be updated to point to new identifiers
.classpath may be updated as necessary
- Upgraded license to version 2.1 of the Academic Free License
- Started new developer documentation
- Added ability to specify extra launch parameters (RFE 975358)
- Ability to edit JAD midlet entries on midlet entry page (RFE 970646)
- Ability to browse Midlet classes on JAD midlet entry page (RFE 970648)
- Remove ability to browse for an icon on midlet page (RFE 970649)
- Fix delete behavior of JAD editor pages (Bug 938732)
- Fix packager behavior (Bugs 1000964 and possibly 989396)
- Fixes for Nokia Series 60 MIDP SDK 2.1 (Beta) (Bug 971003)
- Allow for "auto deploy" when launching in OTA mode (OTA preference added)
- Improved exception handling on plugin startup (Possible fix for Bug 1005680)
- Guess CLDC and MIDP versions for Nokia toolkits as necessary (based on the libraries) (Bug 996898)
- Fixes for Nokia Series 40 Emulator (run only - no debug)
- Fix for Nokia CLDC 1.1 (eg. Nokia Series 40 Emulator) preverification
