本文介绍如何通过配置Ubuntu的xorg.conf文件来提高在VirtualBox中的显示分辨率。步骤包括安装GuestAdditions、编辑配置文件并指定所需的分辨率，最后重启系统。

在windows中用VirtualBox (v3.0.2)安装Ubuntu(v9.0.4)，默认按照800*600显示，可以采用下列方式更改分辨率

1、加载VBox的Guest Additions

2、运行一个终端

3、执行su - 更改到root用户（如果更改失败，先激活root用户）

4、编辑/etc/X11/xorg.conf ,增加红色字段

    Identifier    "Default Screen"
    Monitor        "Configured Monitor"
    Device        "Configured Video Device"

5、进入/media/cdrom0（根据你具体情况有可能不同）

6、运行autorun.sh或者VBoxLinuxAdditions-x86.run或者VBoxLinuxAdditions-amd64.run(根据你的CPU类型选择)

7、重启
