For the new iPad display is 2048 x 1536 pixels. Put it in another way. Many of you all have an HDTV at home. These televisions, 50 inches, 60 inches, have a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Here's an iPad, scaled properly next to it. It has more pixels. Let's overlay the photos, same photo that can be displayed in each of these devices.

You see the iPad shows over 1 million more pixels than your own HDTV does at home. That's a five-megapixel iSight camera, advanced optics with an IR filter, auto-focus, auto-white-balance, face detection. It's 1080p video recording, video stabilization with temporal noise reduction to help and improve quality and low-light situations and it is perfect to watch these videos back on their gorgeous large retina display. There's voice dictation, and there's the most wireless bands ever in device kept off with 4G LTE. Well the iPad delivers the same ten hours of battery life, on the other 4G, nine hours. The team has worked incredibly hard to deliver this kind of battery performance so you can use it all day long. Yet, it remains amazingly thin. It's just 9.4 mm. Remember the iPad2 starts at $499 for 16GB. Well, I'm really excited to tell you, the new iPad will be priced at just $499.

It comes in three store capacity, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, at $499, $599 and $699 for WiFi models, and for WiFi plus 4G, $629, $729 and $829, the same prices as the iPad2 before. And the new iPad will be available on March 16th.

If you think about it, this new device actually has more memory and higher screen resolution than the Xbox360 or Playstation3. So these guys are really defining mobile gaming again.

With the amazing new iPad, a new affordable price for the very popular iPad2 and amazing software like iPhoto and rest of the iLife and iWork suites, we have redefined once again the category that Apple created just two years ago with the original iPad.
