Dr. Werner Roehrs GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned company with a history of over 100 years. The company was originally founded in Magdeburg, Germany, in 1919 by the founder, the structural engineer Hermann Röhrs; his son, Dr. Werner Röhrs, took over and dedicated himself to the development of high-performance, technically special springs.
In 1946 Röhrs moved to Sonthofen in Bavaria and expanded its product range to include a wide range of springs and related products based on the stainless steel forming process.
Thirty years ago, Roche Spring developed the "spiral spring" (or double spiral disc spring) as a one-off, continuous structure and registered it under the successful patent "SCHRAUBENTELLERFEDER" (German
for "spiral disc spring"). In contrast to ordinary disc springs used in machine tool spindle pulling systems, this product offers excellent performance: it is easy to install, can be used under difficult working conditions and has a service life of many times that of ordinary disc springs.
