if you want to use redis master-slave schema,you only need is attatch a .conf file,default,there is a redis.conf file as a template in redis release package,just do two step: 1)change the port(default is 6379, since you use master-salve in same pc) 2)add a line as follows: slaveof 127.0.0.1 6379 take care:run the commond as follows: ./redis-server redis.conf Tip:the parameter redis.conf can't ignore,where i first time use this,i try to ignore the parameter,became i think i use default configuration file name,so i can save my typing character,but it can't works. hope this help you use redis smoothly
