本机登陆mysql数据库，报以下错误：

# mysql -u root -p 
Enter password: 
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

其它方式登陆尝试：

# mysql
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
# mysql -u root -h localhost -p 
Enter password: 
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
# mysql -u root -h 127.0.0.1 -p 
Enter password:

从数据库中查看相关信息：

mysql> use mysql

查看my.cnf配置文件：

# more /etc/my.cnf 
[client]

[mysqld]
basedir=/usr/local/mysql
datadir=/var/mysql/data
socket=/tmp/mysqld.sock

解决方案：

在my.cnf文件中增加以下记录，然后再次登陆

[client] 
socket  = /tmp/mysqld.sock
