We have a OA development team, but this team's output is poor, our manager is not satisfied with this team for 2 years. What's wrong with it? I think the direction before is wrong. We did a lot of development such as personal workspace etc by ourself using asp.net. But everyone knows it is harder to development nice asp.net application espeicially so high level application to newers. and, we seldom to put more efforts on As-Is function of MOSS, outlook ....
The new direction I think is more implementation, less development. We should put more efforts to study as-is products such as Groove, Outlook, MOSS 2010, Office family .... and then importa these products and traing end user to use. For some situation, we can make extension development base on these product's architecture.
