摘要

公众电话交换网作为一种最早建立起来的通信网，自从1876年贝尔发明电话，1898年史端乔发明自动交换机以来，电话已经成为人们日常生活、工作所必须的传输媒体，同时公众电话交换网为人类的通信需求做出了巨大的贡献，在通信发展历程中占据重要地位。随着3G的正式商用，各种智能业务、应用业务不断涌现，对传统的以窄带为基础的PSTN网络带来了巨大的冲击，PSTN即将推出通信舞台？然而PSTN网络通过20几年的发展，网络建设投资巨大，我们应该怎样保护运营商的巨大投资？怎样利用好当初的PSTN网络？PSTN的未来又在何方？

本文从基础上详细说明了PSTN网络的结构、组成及相关技术，只有在充分了解PSTN的发展和技术现状的基础上，才能为其未来的发展指明正确的方向。同时也对PSTN的未来做出了科学有据的推断。

Abstract

Summary of the public switched telephone network was first established as a communication network, since Bell invented the telephone in 1876, 1898, automatically switches the history since the end of Qiaofa Ming, the telephone has become a daily life, work must be the transmission medium, while the public switched telephone network communication needs of mankind made a great contribution in the development process of communication to occupy an important position. With 3G's official business, smart business, application business continue to emerge, the traditional narrowband PSTN-based networks has brought a huge impact, PSTN communication upcoming stage? However PSTN network through 20 years of development, a huge network of construction investment, how should we protect the operator's huge investment? How to make good use of the original PSTN network? Where is the future of PSTN?

In this paper, based on the detailed description of the PSTN network structure, composition and related technologies, PSTN only in the full understanding of the status of development and technology, based on its future development can be in the right direction. The future of the PSTN but also to make a scientific inference based on evidence.
