install vmtools under VMware-workstation-6.0

startup the OS in VMware.

In the "VM" menu of VMware click "Install VM Tools"

you'll find in your cdrom of the OS, there are 2 files :

VMware Tools -XXX.rpm 

VMware Tools-xxx.tar.gz

 

double click the .rpm package to install.

go to /usr/bin

run vmware-config-tools.pl   follow the instruction.

restart the OS.
