Technical Settings for the Workload Monitor

To ensure that the statistical single records generated and saved for each transaction step are regularly collated in profiles, the RSCOLL00 program must be scheduled to run every hour as a background job (generally under the name SAP _COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFORMANCE) . The compressed statistics are stored in the SWNCMONI table. You can display and modify the parameters of the collation in the workload monitor. In the EXPERT role, select COLLECTOR AND PERFORMANCE DATABASE • PERFORMANCE DATABASE • MONITORING DATABASE • REORGANIZATION. Under STANDARD RETENTION PERIODS, you can enter the retention periods for complete analyses before they are automatically deleted. Under RETENTION PERIODS OTHER, you can enter the retention period for data displayed under the workload monitor menu option LOAD HISTORY.

Workload collector

Logs are written for each run of the RSCOLL00 program, which you can use for troubleshooting. You can view the log in the workload monitor via the menu path COLLECTOR AND PERFORMANCE DATABASE • WORKLOAD COLLECTOR • LOG.
