In order to demonstrate viciousness of crimes or attract more audiences and readers, some public media such as television and newspaper will describe crimes in detail.Some people claim that the amount of descriptions about crimes shall be restricted, which I strongly agree with.

Certain advantages cannot be overlooked. People can improve their security consciousness by seeing some crimes specifically reported by media. For instance, some people can realize some detailed process of crimes and be more aware of some criminals’ motivation. In this way, people will know which kind of person may easily become criminals’ target and how can criminals find opportunities to commit crimes.

However, some criminals may gain some experiences if giving detailed description of media is not restricted. Specifically speaking, after some wicked criminals receive many details of detection and arrest, they will gain some information of crimes which may reveal some loophole of police’s works, leading to more difficulties for the police to solve the cases.

In my opinion, media should reduce reporting on details of crimes. Some teenagers have no opportunity to receive good moral education, hence they are not able to make a clear distinction between right and wrong. They will receive some negative information from seeing descriptions of crimes, which may arouse their desire for crime, finally leading to the possibilities of juvenile delinquency.

In conclusion, I think reporting on detailed description of crimes should be restricted. Although some reports can act as deterrence, they will have some negative influences on the society.

Some people think that it is necessary to travel abroad to learn about other countries. However, other people think that it is not necessary to travel abroad because all the information can be seen at TV and the internet. Discuss both opinions and give your own opinion.

 

As civilians’ incomes increase, more and more people choose to go traveling to relax and release pressure. Some people claim that it is a good way to know other countries by traveling abroad but others think it is unnecessary. Personally, I support the former.

TV programs and the Internet have become the most basic way for us to understand the world. Searching information is much cheaper and convenient than traveling abroad. For instance, if we want to learn about a country or a city, we can search some materials such as images and videos about that place. Only in a few minutes, almost all kinds of information like history and cultures will come into our minds. We even do not need to spend a cent.

However, it is not possible that materials can replace personal experience. Specifically speaking, if we go traveling to a country, we can authentically see the stunning landscape by our own eyes. It is completely different between seeing pictures of a waterfall and looking the real scenery while feeling the water drop on the skin. Nothing can supersede the visual impact and real sense of touch.

In my opinion, traveling in person can help people realize the culture of a place better. If we travel abroad and walk on the street of another country, we can see what kind of traditional costumes these local people wear and touch beautiful clothes to feel the texture. We can even make some friends and realize their personalities.It is not easy to understand a culture only by seeing pictures or words.

As civilians’ incomes increase, water bills have not become the focus for most people. Some people claim that they can use much water if they can afford it but others think the government should regulate the use of water. Personally, I support the latter.

Every citizen need to pay the water bill. To some extent, the more people use water, the higher government’s revenue will be. If people can use much water, they have to pay expensive water bills. In this way, the government can use the higher revenue to develop infrastructures in the city. All citizens can enjoy better public services and facilities such as public garden and transportation system. Consequently, it is like transferring money from rich people to all citizens.

However, fresh water is one of the most important resources for human being which is limited. Specifically speaking, rain is a source of fresh water which need time to form. If everyone do not control wasting water, fresh water will be depleted rapidly. Then we are very likely to face drought which make most farmland to be dry, leading to low yield. Each of us should improve our sense of environmental protection and save fresh water.

In my opinion, the government can play the role of controlling the use of fresh water better than individuals. For instance, some people do not turn off the tap when they are brushing teeth. If the government can publicize some knowledge about water conservation or increase the price of water suitably, people will pay more attentions to save water such as turning off the tap timely.

In conclusion, I think governments should control the use of water. Although people can afford the water bill, fresh water should be protected.

As civilians’ ways of entertainment increase, all kinds of noise is made in the city. Some people claim that the government should regulate noise made by people, but others think people have right to make much noise. Personally, I support the former.

The pace of life in the city is pretty fast and people who work in the city are under a great pressure. To some extent, a lot of noise is made because people need entertainment. Specifically speaking, people need entertainment to have fun such as singing karaoke, having party and playing games in order to release stress. Therefore, people inevitably create a lot of noise. Otherwise some people who often work overtime may have some mental problems.

However, noise will seriously affect other people’s lives. For instance, if your neighbor is having a big birthday party with friends, you will be not able to fall asleep which makes you do not have a good spirit next day, may leading to low efficiency of work. Similarly, other different kinds of noise will also disturb people’s lives, which may even cause many accidents.

In my opinion, noise will also have a negative impact on one’s physical health. If we make noise for a long time, our auditory system will gradually be tired and impaired as well as other people’s. When we continue to be in a noisy environment, our nervous system and endocrine system may suffer permanent damage. Consequently, noise harm people’s physical health.

In conclusion, I think noise made by people should be controlled. Although people need entertainment, noise affect people’s lives and physical health.
