本文解决了一个常见问题：使用VS2005进行F5调试网站时出现Unable to start debugging on the web server. An authentication error occurred...的问题。通过调整IIS6中“目录安全性”的设置，启用匿名访问及集成Windows身份验证，成功解决了此问题。

问题描述：用VS2005时F5调试网站时，弹出对话框,"Unable to start debugging on the web server .An authentication error occured while communicating with the web server."，但Ctrl+F5网站可以正常访问
解决方法：出现这个问题的原因是在网站（或虚拟目录）的“目录安全性”标签->“身份验证和访问控制”中，选中了“启用匿名访问”，但没有选中“集成Windows身份验证”，两个都勾上，搞定
