Press coverage regarding potential future business with ODM partner HTC in Taiwan

Yesterday a number of press articles reported on the subject that Sony Ericsson is in discussion with HTC regarding an order for a new phone that will be shipped in the 2nd half of 2008.

For your information this is official reply we gave to media and customers upon receiving external queries yesterday:

'We confirm that as a global company Sony Ericsson have a business relationship with a number of ODM partners around the world, including HTC. Details regarding these relationships, for both current and potential future business, are confidential and as a matter of company policy we do not disclose them. We have not made any announcement regarding any new platform and are committed to Symbian and UIQ.'
