1.download the source code from http://www.locate32.net/files/sources/
I used the file:locate-sources-3.0.7.7010
2.use vs2005 to open the locate.sln.
it will report don not find findExtension.vcproj.
You can use T-svn to download the code from http://svn.locate32.net/locate32
and copy the findExtention to (your path)/locate.
then in VS2005 to reload the project.
3.Copy IMAPI.h and rpcsal.h from Window platfrom SDK include to locat-sources/include.
4.in vs2005 to setup the include and lib path for HFClib

lrestool -Ra LOCATE32 "C:/My documents/locate-sources/Locate/Locate32/lres_base.rc
lrestool -Ha LOCATE32 "C:/My documents/locate-sources/Locate/hlp/page_raw.htm
(just changed the up file path use your local path).
6.build solution in VS2005.
