虹鳟鱼的食用方法很多,大部分人还是喜欢碳烤虹鳟鱼,然后是生鱼片、清炖等烹制方式。在烤的时候放上孜然和辣椒面,味道有些像新疆的烧烤。这种烤法,鱼皮最好吃,味浓并且焦脆,而鱼肉过厚,味道稍显寡淡。
