This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

When starting the second instance on node-2 get ora-27504

The sever process trace file in user_dump_dest contains the following message:

Cause

The problem was that the $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libskgxp10.a was not proper on the problem node. The file sizes did not match.

Also check the other $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libsk* files and compare it among the nodes.

Solution

Take a backup of all the files being replaced. Copy $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libskgxp10.a from the good node and relink the Binaries.
