I've checked zynga's code. They simply move the swf div away and put a snapshot at the swf div position, when dialog closed put the swf div back and remove the snapshot div.
But put dynamic picture is not support by IE, so in IE you may need to put a static picture.
Trust me, player only focus on the feed dialog, they will never notice that swf content is replaced.
