Google Season of Docs’21 Week 1 meeting

Meeting Summary

It was the second meeting of the GSoD’21 participants, everyone has started their work and have pushed more than one PRs on GitHub.

In this meeting, firstly every participant gave his week summary and informed the community about their plans for the upcoming week. After that, we had a bit of discussion about the vision for the Wechaty. Following that Simin led a discussion about style mistakes that are being frequently made in the PRs, next she introduces us to a follow-up checklist. Later we had a suggestions/Q&A session, and at last, we took a lovely group photo.

Meeting Outcomes

• The community got to know about the progress and plans of the members
• Chris and Joseph need more time for coming up with a vision, it’s decided that they will come up with a vision soon
• Simin made tech writers aware of their style mistakes
• Tech writers received information about the follow-up checklist
• It’s clear that tech writers have no doubts regarding the performance bonus
• Simin will be coming up with a blog post regarding the documentation styles, guidelines & rules
• Feedback has been collected for the next volunteers meeting
