本文记录了在尝试启动Oracle数据库实例时遇到的错误ORA-10997及解决方案。通过调整文件权限解决了另一个进程可能正在启动或关闭此实例的问题。

i think their was permission error
i did:
[root@serv2 ~]# chown -R oracle:dba /u01/app/oracle/

then
startup
ORACLE instance started.

Total System Global Area 285212672 bytes
Fixed Size 1218992 bytes
Variable Size 104859216 bytes
Database Buffers 176160768 bytes
Redo Buffers 2973696 bytes
Database mounted.
Database opened.
SQL>
