I the undersigned am a final year B.Tech student in the Department of 
Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at the Indian Institute of 
Technology, IIT Kanpur, India. (http://www.iitk.ac.in/mme/) 

As a budding Engineer, I would like to leverage the academic skills I have 
learnt so far to gain exposure to deal with issues involved in Modeling 
beyond engineering.


I would be very fortunate to have an opportunity of working under a 
distinguished researcher like you. Hence, I request you to consider me for 
project, next year (May 2009 onwards) ,under your expert guidance.
As it is my final year so duration of project can be any long as you wish.
I have a very strong programming base and thorough understanding of various 
problems of computation .
I wish to include that I have got excellent mathematical skills to take care 
of the mathematical aspects of the field.
I have done a PhD level course on Numerical Methods in Chemical Engineering 
and a B-tech course on Computational Methods. 
My all projects are related to soft computing and modelling, which I have 
mentioned in my resume in detail.
