Install Ejabberd

 1. download the installation file from website.
 ejabberd-1.1.3 4-linux-x86-installer.bin

 

 2. run the file.

 

 3. select the installation language.

 

 4. click next button.

 

 5. select 'I accept the agreement' option then click "next" button.

 

 6. fill the installation directory, in general you don't need to change.

 

 7. key the ejabberd server domain(your computer name).
  for example "vizen", other computers which had installed client software can connect with hostname "vizen".
  it's ok if you send the command "ping vizen"
 
 8. input the user name. don't need to change. you can login the website with this user.

 

 9. input the password.

 

 10. if you want install a cluster then select YES, or then select NO. click "next" button.

 

 11.
  if you select NO, continue click "next" button to begin to install.
  if you select YES, pls enter the name of node, it's just domain name. click "next" button to install.
 
 12. finished.
