Job Description
Magnum Semiconductor is a leading provider of silicon, modules, software and IP for the professional broadcast infrastructure market. Magnum Semiconductor China is seeking a highly motivated Software Quality Assurance Manager to lead a dynamic team of Software QA Engineers in our Beijing facility.
Reporting to the Director of Software QA and Systems, you will be responsible for all aspects related to the Quality Assurance and Configuration Management of Magnum Semiconductor's Professional Broadcast encoders, decoders and transcoders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 15+ Software QA Engineers; black box, white box and unit testers
- Clearly communicate test results in a concise and effective manner
- Make judgment calls on the quality of Magnum products based on facts and current development stage
Qualifications:
- BS/MS Computer Science
- 5 to 10 years of experience managing a QA team
- Proven experience with video/audio encoding/decoding/xcoding
- Emphasis on testing methodology
- Scripting (Perl, Python, Ruby) background
- Process oriented
- Innovative and resourceful
- Strong analytical and decision making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Recognized as both a management and technical leader by peers and direct reports
