1. Creating pfSense VM

The pfSense firewall is more than just a firewall; it’s easy to install and configure, making it suitable for a testing environment.

Steps to Download and Prepare:

1. Download the software from http://www.pfsense.org/mirror.php?section=downloads . At the time of writing, version 2.2 was the appropriate choice. Select a Computer Architecture and Live CD with Installer.
2. After downloading and extracting the ISO, create a virtual machine in VMware Workstation:
