In the beginning where were movies and TV shows shot?

These days "Hollywood movies" are mostly from outside of California.

What is the main reason for the change in Hollywood? California is a very expensive place to live and work.

Why are all "big-budget English language movies" called "Hollywood movies"? Because Hollywood is where the movie business started.

Why has California started to offer betther deals to productions? They want production companies to come back.
