问题描述：

使用yum install mysql安装mysql后，运行mysql报错：ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock’ (2)

原因分析

centos自己本身携带的mysql版本为mariadb，需要进一步确认有没有安装mariadb-server，如果没有安装的话，需要运行：
yum install mariadb-server.x86_64

然后启动mariadb服务（不是启动mysql服务）：
systemctl start mariadb.service
然后运行mysql即可：
[root@master cent]# mysql
Welcome to the MariaDB monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MariaDB connection id is 2
Server version: 5.5.52-MariaDB MariaDB Server

发生如标题所述问题的原因有很多，还有可能是mysql.sock目录不正确的问题
