• M02-install and configuration
  • The storage system stores requests it receives in nonvolatile random-access memory (NVRAM). --->so ,before halt, need to flush data from NVRAM to disk.
  • Special menu:
    • Boot without /etc/rc
    • Change password
    • 4a
    • Maintenance mode boot

 

• 安装simulator--
  • suse默认的是tftp,所以要用这个协议的客户端传输
  • Tar -xvfz *.tgz
  • Setup.sh
  • 加块网卡-加了3块,好做vif练习
  • 安装的时候
    • cluster
    • 网卡如何选择???
      • 第一次:

Checking the default route...

You have a single network interface called eth3 (default route) . You will not be able to access the simulator from this Linux host. If this interface is marked DOWN in ifconfig then your simulator will crash.

• 第二次
  • Not recommended for the simulator: eth7 (no ip address) eth6 (no ip address) eth5 (no ip address) eth3 (default route)

Choosing a DOWN interface will cause the simulator to crash.

Either repair the interface(s) or choose the "default route" interface.

• Disks
  • Your simulator has 3 disk(s). How many more would you like to add? [0]: 20

• 然后/sim/node1/runsim.sh
  • 第一次的时候需要配置 ip等
  • 然后启动的时候起不来,说网卡等问题
  • 继续新卡eth7 - 1.221
    • 222/223-node1/node2
  • ok了

• License add
  • From filer view: http://192.168.1.222/na_admin/sim/doc/license_keys.htm
    • Cifs, cluster, nfs, disk_santization, iscsi, snapxxx,
    • Cluster license加完后需要reboot生效, santization license加之后不能再从系统删除了

• Suse Netapp IP :192.168.1.220
  • 拷贝国来的网卡不好用,删除其即可
  • 第二台机器的网络外部可以访问,但从linux为啥访问不到呢. Route -s 192.168.1.1也都对.

• Boot sequence
  • Read file : /etc/rc, /etc/registry, /etc/hosts

• Setup script
  • 第一次初始化的时候会自动调用
  • 可以后任意时刻调用来修改配置
    • Reboot for change to take effect
      • Or source /etc/rc

• Network interface configuration
  • Name : e1b

• Message logging
  • Syslogd /etc/syslog.conf ---?没有配置?
  • Will write to 3 dest
    • Default  file: /etc/messages

• Test task III:Halting the workstation
  • Halt then test command on hardware level
    • CFE>help; printenv; boot_primary
