密苏里大学全奖博士生-流体方向

The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering of the University of Missouri invites applicants for Ph.D. studies in Water Resources and Engineering starting in Spring 2019 or earlier. We seek one or two skilled and motivated individual(s) to work on various research projects related to turbulent mixing/transport and multiphase plumes. The candidates will perform routine office works on data analysis and/or lab/field experiments. One candidate will be fully supported by a recently funded GoMRI (Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative) project.

The candidates will study fundamental and applied fluid dynamics problems in aquatic environments. Students with degree in Civil, Mechanical, and Ocean Engineering, or a closely relate field are encouraged to apply. Preferred qualifications include experiences in experimental/theoretical/computational fluid mechanics, environmental hydraulics, physical limnology/oceanography, wave dynamics, instrumentation programming, and one or more programing languages (Matlab, Python, C++, etc.). We are particularly interested in the candidates who have experiences with turbulence data analysis, and use of PIV, ADV, ADCP, etc.
