SS7 is a common-channel signaling network（公共信道信令网络）, in that all signaling information is carried on a common signaling plane. The signaling planes and the voice circuit planes are logiclly separated.
    SS7 networks consist of three signaling elements: Service Switching Point, Signal Transfer Point, and Service Control Point and six types of signaling links.
