Sr.PM for Whole Page Experience- Search Technology Center Asia

Group Overview

As part of the Microsoft Bing team, the Search Technology Center Asia (STCA) is working to deliver innovative Internet search products and services. Whole Page Experience Team in STCA is working to provide the most attractive, well-organized, and task oriented Search Results Page to delight consumers. We define features in Search Results Page by organizing information and knowledge extracted from raw search results or web documents, so as to improve the overall search landing pages’ relevance, which ultimately improve user satisfaction. We have the most brilliant talent working on algorithms, and the most innovative engineers design and deliver the best user experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager who is passionate about designing the whole page relevance features, as well as the backend pipeline, online and offline infrastructure, to enable features from scratch to production. &nbsp

As a Senior Program Manager, you will work with your counterpart development team to define product roadmap, metrics, project plan, and drive rapid development cycle to deliver the whole page experience features. To close the product loop, you will work with marketing, PR teams to evangelize the released features and collect feedback from users. You must have strong core program management skills, including customer-focused innovation, Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across teams and across geographies. You must have an understanding of how search platforms are engineered with experience in systems dealing with massive data-flows. Fluency in written and oral communication in English is necessary.

Required Qualifications

You must possess a strong user understanding and analytical skill, exceptional problem solving skills and a minimum of 6 years of experience in delivering high quality software solutions including several product shipping cycles. Experience with agile development and scenario-focused engineering is preferred. A demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly on a new technical domain is assumed. Demonstrated capability to create product specifications, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment distributed across geographical locations are very important.

Knowledge and experience in any of the following areas is a strong plus:

Experience in Information Retrieval, Data Mining, Computer Science or Mathematical background.

This position is located in Beijing, China.
