Today we go to the New York city City to visit the Museum of Chinese in America. Last year, MOCA reopened in the a new and much large larger building in the cities China toy, city's Chinatown neighborhood.

The museum's exhibits teach visitors about the art, culture and history of Chinese Americans, it Chinese-Americans. MOCA says its aim is to show both of the many layers of their experience and America's development as a nation of , immigrants.

The Museum of Chinese in America maybe may be in the story a newly restored building, but its roots go back 13 30 years, it . It began in 1918, and , 1980 as a community organization called the New York China toy history project, child's like, Chinatown History Project. Activist Charles Lai and history , memory historian Jack Tchen were its creators. They realized that the memories and experience experiences of older generation generations of Chinese people in America . We were slowly disappear, so, disappearing. So they decide decided to document these experiences by recording stories, taking pictures and collecting objects.
