1, The ‘industry sector’ is used for determination of the field selection. Like material types, industry sector have control functions in the SAP System. For example, it is a factor determining the screen sequence and field selection in a material master record.
2, In standard SAP we cannot be able to change the Industry Sector once if the material created. We have to create a new material and delete the old one if we set a wrong industry sector code for a material.
